About the Role:

We are seeking an Employment Specialist to provide intensive support to job seekers who face personal barriers such as long-term health conditions, disabilities, or lack of skills or financial difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist job seekers in gaining new skills, improving their wellbeing, or securing employment.
  2. Meet clients weekly, offering face-to-face and telephone support through a comprehensive programme.
  3. Connect customers with relevant courses and additional learning opportunities to help them move closer to the labour market.
  4. Build rapport quickly, conduct diagnostics, and set SMART targets to ensure each customer progresses towards employment.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills, approachable, and confident in guiding customers to access support available.
  • Passion for helping people, ideally with mentoring or supporting job seekers/learners to meet their future goals.
  • Skilled in fact finding and ensuring customers progress on their journey, including target setting.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency with all Office 365 applications.
