Equipment Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team at Finning (UK) Ltd. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for responding to customers' field repair and service requests, diagnosing issues while providing comprehensive detail about the nature of the problem to the customer and Finning.
Working within Finning's industry-leading field service department, you will be at the forefront of the company's site diagnostic and repair capabilities for Caterpillar products. Your primary objective will be to deliver high-quality service to our customers, ensuring that their equipment is up and running efficiently and effectively.
Main Responsibilities- Respond to customer service requests in a timely and efficient manner, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and importance.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical or electrical issues with heavy earthmoving equipment, utilizing the most up-to-date dealer software and repair techniques.
- Provide detailed reports to customers and Finning, outlining the nature of the issue and the necessary repairs or maintenance required.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Mechanical Engineering or Plant Operations, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of heavy earthmoving equipment, including operation, maintenance, and repair principles.
- Proven experience in a field service or maintenance role, preferably with a large dealership or equipment manufacturer.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
- Valid LDV driving license.
- Familiarity with CAT product training and certification.
- A competitive salary range of £38,500 - £43,800 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
