About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Estimator to join our team at Prime Appointments Recruitment Agency. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for compiling cost estimates of complete work, ensuring the best price to win the contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compile cost estimates of complete work from drawings.
  • Maintain a cost database.
  • Prepare the design manual with relevant drawing groups in preparation for the handover meeting.
  • Be responsible for the effective handover to the specific Projects Director, ensuring all documentation is accurately passed on to the project team.

Requirements:
  • Experience of estimating within the joinery/shop fitting industry is essential.
  • Ability to fully understand detailed working drawings from architects and designers, all aspects of manufacturing workshop construction and installation.
  • Strong organisational skills with experience of managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of using MS Word, Excel, and in-house databases, including estimating software.
