Mine Electrician

We are seeking a highly skilled Mine Electrician to join our team at British Gypsum. As a Mine Electrician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mine.

• Undertake electrical maintenance and repair work on heavy equipment and infrastructure
• Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance production efficiency and safety
• Work collaboratively with the team to achieve production targets and ensure a positive customer experience
• Develop and implement effective risk assessments and method statements to ensure safe working practices
• Utilize the Permit to Work system to manage electrical isolations and ensure compliance with safety regulations

• Recognized electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience
• Time-served electrician with experience in heavy industrial environments
• Understanding of HV/LV distribution systems and computer/PLC control systems
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
