Job Title: Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist - Critical Care

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist to join our Critical Care team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for leading the occupational therapy service in Critical Care, providing expert clinical leadership and management to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the occupational therapy service in Critical Care, providing expert clinical leadership and management to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the effective delivery of occupational therapy services in Critical Care.
  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to occupational therapy staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways and effective communication.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Band 8a experience working in Critical Care as an occupational therapist.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of leading teams and managing budgets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working across sites.
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy practice and the ability to apply this in a critical care setting.
