About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join our team on projects for Northumbrian Water. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical commissioning, with experience working on MEICA projects.

As a key member of the commissioning team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards, with a focus on safety, quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commissioning process, including full documentation and management of suppliers/subcontractors.
  • Attend Factory Acceptance Testing and support project teams through to project completion.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure that new and refurbishment works meet the required standards.
  • Develop and implement safe systems of work, including risk assessments and method statements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in commissioning, preferably in the utilities or industrial sector.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical procedures, including permit procedures.
  • Ability to plan and manage commissioning processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good fault-finding skills and attention to detail.
