Specialist Early Years Educator in SEN Setting

We are seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing Reception SEN Teacher to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust, a welcoming SEN school in Chelsea.
This permanent full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work in an early years setting that values structured, supportive learning environments tailored to the individual needs of each child.
- Role Highlights:
- Permanent full-time role within a nurturing early years SEN setting focused on supporting children with additional needs, creating a warm and inclusive classroom where every child feels safe, engaged, and supported.
- Design and implement play-based learning activities that are customized to meet each child's unique learning profile, encouraging them to explore, discover, and develop foundational skills in a way that is enjoyable and accessible.
- Collaborate with SEN support staff and professionals ensuring that activities and lessons are aligned with best practices in early years SEN education and tailoring strategies to maximize student growth and engagement.
- Build a structured and encouraging environment that prioritizes sensory-rich and visually stimulating activities, giving students ample opportunity to learn through play, discovery, and hands-on engagement.
- Engage in ongoing professional development focused on SEN techniques and early childhood education best practices, enhancing your skills to better meet the diverse needs of your students.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, maintaining open communication with SEN staff and parents, and adjusting activities to ensure steady and meaningful development.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience in Reception or early years teaching, ideally within an SEN environment, to better support the unique needs and learning styles of young children with additional needs.
- A patient and nurturing approach with the ability to connect with and engage young learners, fostering a love for learning and a sense of safety and belonging in the classroom.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, allowing you to work effectively with SEN support staff, other educators, and families to create a cohesive support network for each child.
- A creative and adaptable teaching style capable of designing play-based, sensory-rich activities that capture the interest of young learners and facilitate cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
- An Enhanced DBS check to ensure the safety and well-being of all students in your care.
The estimated salary for this position is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
