Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Pressure Engineer to join our team at Leonardo in Luton, UK. As a key member of our Mechanical Engineering Function, you will play a critical role in designing and developing pressure systems for our electronic warfare products.

The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering and be a Chartered Engineer with competent person status in Pressure Systems. Proven knowledge of Fluid Dynamics and experience in developing equipment for extreme operating environments are essential. You will also have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to make effective trade-offs between cost, quality, and schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Analyse and assess mechanical designs for pressure performance and safety against regulatory and customer requirements.
  2. Report on all technical matters to a Leonardo Competent Person Pressure Systems, providing guidance on pressure/cooling strategies and advising on pressure design improvements where necessary.
  3. SUPport the selection of manufacturing technologies and materials based on a sound understanding of the mechanical engineering and performance of the product.
  4. Generate and maintain technical files under data management control and generate reports for approval.
