Job Summary:
Cameron Clarke Associates is seeking a highly skilled VAT Accountant to join our team of qualified accountants. As a VAT Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our clients' VAT returns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit VAT returns for clients using various VAT schemes
- Reconcile sales invoices, purchase invoices, and bank accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders to resolve any VAT-related queries or issues
- Assist with VAT registrations and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations
- Perform other general bookkeeping tasks to support the accounts team
- Assist with HMRC VAT investigations and communicate with HMRC as required
Requirements:
- Minimum two years' experience in a VAT/Bookkeeping position
- Strong knowledge of Xero and other accounting software
- Strong IT skills and attention to detail
