Job Summary:

Cameron Clarke Associates is seeking a highly skilled VAT Accountant to join our team of qualified accountants. As a VAT Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our clients' VAT returns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit VAT returns for clients using various VAT schemes
  • Reconcile sales invoices, purchase invoices, and bank accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Communicate with clients and stakeholders to resolve any VAT-related queries or issues
  • Assist with VAT registrations and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations
  • Perform other general bookkeeping tasks to support the accounts team
  • Assist with HMRC VAT investigations and communicate with HMRC as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years' experience in a VAT/Bookkeeping position
  • Strong knowledge of Xero and other accounting software
  • Strong IT skills and attention to detail
