Role Overview

We are seeking a Financial Services Analyst to join our team at HM Treasury in Darlington. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile issues related to mortgage policy, including green mortgages and economic abuse.

As a Financial Services Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring and analysing key trends and developments in the mortgage market using both data and commentary and provide timely and well-evidenced updates to seniors and Ministers. You will also support external partner engagement for the mortgage policy branch, including building and maintaining strong and collaborative relationships across industry, financial regulators, and other government teams.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships across industry, financial regulators, and other government teams.

This role offers a competitive salary of £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including 25 days annual leave, flexible working patterns, and a generous parental leave package.
