About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Global Payments and Cash Management Lead. As a senior operations leadership role, this position requires strong leadership and strategic management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Global Payments & Cash Management Operations (PCMO) group, which includes delivering core cash & liquidity management operations & treasury trade support services. The role reports to the Global Head of Cash Services (Global Payments & Cash Management Operations) and requires strong leadership and strategic management skills.

Major Duties

  • Evaluates key business challenges and directs the development of new or innovative solutions.
  • Guided by Northern Trust and/or organization functional strategy, impacts results of the company, a major operational segment, or company-wide organization function.
  • Defines the function and necessary production organization to carry out business objectives.
  • Proactively researches and coordinates enhancements and transformation.
  • Supports Business in providing thought leadership to benefit NT.
  • Partners with the Head of GS and Service RM's to improve the function.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality service with future considerations.
  • Ensures changes match industry trends and client expectations in terms of partnering with technology and service delivery.
  • Effectively manages the financial health of the practice and remains within budget.
  • Advocates for cost-effective strategies that meet client needs.
  • Identifies opportunities for continuous efficiencies, scale, and value.
  • Organizes the functional work from a process and locational regulatory standpoint.
  • Responsible for control and risk management.
  • Provides input to Talent Decisions as related to upskilling the function from a service perspective.
  • Effectively manages change and transformation objectives.
  • Point of contact for issues specific to functions under management.
  • Coordinates operational response to complex issues.
  • Accountable for delivering quality solutions with an eye to the future of expense management and client service delivery.
  • Collaborates with other Practice Execs and capabilities to deliver an overall seamless operational offering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior operations leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and strategic management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of success in driving change and improving operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Estimated Salary

$175,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
