Grounds Maintenance Team Leader

Location: Shepton Mallet

Salary: £27,000

Contract type: Permanent

Working hours: 07:00 - 15:00 (Winter hours), 07:00 - 17:00 (Summer hours)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join our team. As a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of grounds maintenance staff in the upkeep and maintenance of our clients' outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of grounds maintenance staff in the upkeep and maintenance of outdoor spaces
  • Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard and in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Manage and maintain equipment and vehicles
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans
  • Monitor and control costs
  • Provide training and guidance to team members
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance or a related field
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
