Job Title: Teaching Assistant Level 2 + SEN Allowance

We are seeking an exceptional educational professional to join our team at St John's CE Kearsley Primary School as a Teaching Assistant Level 2 + SEN.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide support to a child with an EHCP in the EYFS department, working closely with colleagues across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and the Special Educational Needs Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support a child with SEMH, Speech and Language, and Communication and Interaction delays
  • Work closely with the Special Educational Needs Team to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure seamless support for the child
Requirements:
  • Experience of supporting children with SEMH, Speech and Language, and Communication and Interaction delays
  • Clear understanding of how children learn best and experience of using the ELKLAN method
  • Understanding of the nurture principles and their application within a primary school setting
  • Commitment to supporting children in achieving their potential, in spite of their barriers to learning
  • Excellent communication skills
