About the Role:

The position of Support Assistant for Student with Autism is available at a primary school in East London. As a Support Assistant, you will work closely with a student in year 4 who has autism, providing support in the classroom and assisting with their studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to a student with autism in the classroom and during extracurricular activities
  • Assist the student with their academic and social development, focusing on building rapport and trust
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Support the student's transition between lessons and activities
  • Communicate effectively with the teaching staff, parents, and other professionals involved in the student's care
