Key Responsibilities



  • Proactively use data to identify areas of opportunity to drive commercial value and competitive advantage, delivering profitable growth for our insurance business.
  • Model, interpret, and monitor business data to identify market trends, product opportunities, and new rating factors.
  • Assist in the development of pricing models for deployment to our rating system, utilizing Radar and other software tools.
  • Make recommendations to pricing leads based on your analysis.
  • Mine, extract, and interpret data to bring out insights, employing innovative techniques, including machine learning.

Requirements



  • A strong mathematical education is essential, with a degree in a mathematical or equivalent field.
  • A-levels in Maths or Further Maths, and a 1st or 2:1 degree in a mathematical or equivalent field.
  • Excellent numerical reasoning skills to explain observed trends in data.
  • Critical thinking skills to assimilate information, form hypotheses, and validate them using judgement and available information.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to articulate financial impacts.
  • Customer focus and the ability to consider customer impacts.
  • Effective communication of complex subjects to various audiences.
