About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wine Shipping and Logistics Lead to join our team at Iron Mountain. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the domestic and international movements of wine and spirits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all wine shipping activities, both domestically and internationally, ensuring seamless communication with clients, third-party shippers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure compliance with business requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate and manage all customs matters related to wine shipping, ensuring accurate and timely documentation and compliance with regulations.
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor shipping activities, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, third-party shippers, and internal stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the wider Iron Mountain business to ensure compliance with under bond stock, HMRC reporting, and resource requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fine wine logistics, with a strong understanding of international alcohol shipping regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in G Suite, eCustoms, and EMCS.
  • Experience working in an excise-approved warehouse environment and using inventory management systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with fluent spoken and written English (French advantageous).
  • Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
