Job Title: Project Scheduler

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Scheduler to join our team at Morson Talent. As a Project Scheduler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by developing and maintaining accurate project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain project schedules in compliance with company standards and Magnox processes.
  • Ensure all key milestone dates are included in the scheduling tool and coded using Magnox compliant codes.
  • Manage and report on Critical Path Analysis (CPA) and provide recommendations for programme acceptance/rejection to the Project Manager.
  • Assess Sub Contractor's programmes as per NEC requirements and make recommendations for programme acceptance/rejection.
  • Ensure baseline and detailed project schedules remain aligned and in compliance with company standards.
  • Provide Basis of Schedule assumptions and exclusions, detailing any that affect the schedule structure and content.
  • Routinely administer the Magnox Risk Management Database for the project.
  • Maintain baseline schedules through change control, reflecting additional/modified/deleted scope and ensuring schedule integrity is preserved.
  • Monitor and report on work liquidation at detailed level, performing quantity surveys in support of productivity analysis.
  • Provide critical path analysis and near-critical path float analysis, highlighting any deviations from approved baseline dates.
  • Assist Project Managers in producing monthly performance reports by providing schedule forecast information.
  • Produce S-curves and resource profiles from all levels of cost schedules.
  • Maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in accordance with Magnox processes.
  • Conduct full and detailed Schedule Performance Index (SPI) & Schedule Variance (SV) analysis and provide recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Expert knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and Magnox processes.
  • Experience of working in a regulated sector, preferably Nuclear.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
