About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a newly established Primary Mental Health Treatment Requirement service, which offers an alternative to custodial sentences for individuals in the criminal justice system.

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for the effective management, development, and delivery of all psycho-social interventions within the MHTR team.

You will provide clinical guidance, training, and leadership to a team of Senior Assistant and Assistant Psychologists, who facilitate psycho-social interventions with individuals on a Mental Health Treatment Requirement.

You will also be responsible for building strong professional links with other statutory and voluntary service providers, and using your expertise to develop meaningful support networks for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver psycho-social interventions within the MHTR team
  • Provide clinical guidance, training, and leadership to a team of Senior Assistant and Assistant Psychologists
  • Build strong professional links with other statutory and voluntary service providers
  • Develop meaningful support networks for our clients
  • Explore ways to continuously improve our services and integrate wider issues into the overall treatment process
Requirements:

We are looking for a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist with a doctorate in their professional specialism and proven ability to deliver psychological services.

You will need to have experience of leading and supervising clinical staff, as well as working with substance misuse service users.

Formal training in supervision is desirable, but not essential.
