Plant Fitter and Maintenance Technician

**About the Role**

We are recruiting for a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in South Wirral. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of industrial recycled glass processing equipment.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in plant fitting and maintenance in an industrial environment. You should have excellent understanding and commitment to safe working practices, as well as good communication and multi-skilled knowledge range (Electrical & Mechanical).

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks on industrial machinery and equipment
  2. Conduct fault diagnosis and repair work on complex mechanical and electrical systems
  3. Collaborate with production staff to ensure efficient operation of plant and equipment
  4. Participate in development and implementation of safety procedures and protocols
  5. Provide technical support and assistance to other departments as needed

Requirements:

  • 5 years or more experience of plant fitting and maintenance in an industrial environment
  • Excellent understanding and commitment to safe working practises
  • Must have or be willing to receive training to operate Telehandler and MEWP equipment
  • Good communication and multi-skilled knowledge range (Electrical & Mechanical)
  • High standard of design and fabrication skills
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Good reporting skills
  • Strong understanding of Engineering drawings and able to fabricate

Salary:** £49,000 per annum, circa, plus overtime available
