About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our dynamic team at Formula 1. As a key member of our Data Systems department, you will play a crucial role in developing our understanding and analysis capabilities on historical and current car data, as well as race event data.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to the development of detailed analysis techniques to utilise data sources and combine data to find relationships using state-of-the-art methods.
  2. Research and lead the deployment of future analytic methods, such as applying computer vision and machine learning techniques to detect, identify and emphasize technical details and performance trackers.
  3. Analyse, report and present vehicle performance results for both internal and external review, including regular post-race event reports.
  4. Liaise with internal and external groups that possess data repositories of interest and foster relationships with all appropriate stakeholders.
  5. Work with F1 technical suppliers to develop methodologies and create aligned analysis for content generation.
About You
  1. Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computing, Mathematics, or Physics/STEM with a strong mathematical content.
  2. Ability to demonstrate practical applications and utilization of data analytic work, mathematical and/or statistical reduction on datasets.
  3. Development of bespoke data analytical and visualization tools.
  4. Excellent knowledge and skills in machine learning and computer vision.
  5. Ability to analyse results and present concise data reports and visualisation with meaningful conclusions.
  6. Interest in data analytics methods and applications.
  7. Familiarity with C, Python and Matlab.
  8. Relevant skills and experience in using computer vision, machine learning and data analysis toolsets.
