Medical Support Specialist

About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced medical professional to join our team as a Medical Support Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant or GP to work in active clinical practice within a University partner hospital or local GP practice involved in clinical placements.
The successful candidate will be employed part-time (1 PA, 4 hours per week) for a 3-year appointment subject to review, with the opportunity to extend subject to satisfactory performance, appraisal and job planning.
This role requires the individual to hold a substantive NHS consultant contract in a University partner Trust or a substantive role within any of our partner Academies or GP Practices. Funding for the role will be provided by the University of Leicester to the substantive NHS Trust or directly by the University.
As part of this role, the appointee will be awarded an Honorary Lecturer title with the University, where an honorary title is not already held.
Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000
