Job Description
As an Academic Support Specialist, you will play a key role in creating a positive learning environment, promoting collaboration between students and staff, and supporting the success of our educational programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), disabilities, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Working closely with teaching staff to implement tailored learning plans, ensuring that all students receive the guidance and assistance they require to thrive in an educational setting.
- Fostering a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Evaluating progress and adjusting approaches to meet the diverse needs of each student.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A compassionate and adaptable approach.
- Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
