About the Role:

Bristol Ambulance is seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to fill the position of Qualified Emergency Care Assistant (ECA). As an ECA, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional pre-hospital care to patients in a variety of settings.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out allocated operational duties in line with the role and responsibilities, supporting the provision of clinical, social, and holistic care to patients in a pre-hospital environment.
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, delivering high-quality and effective pre-hospital care, including 999 emergencies, inter-hospital transfers, and other allocated responses.
  • Conduct assessments, provide care, treatment, and transportation of patients as an operational practitioner, working in a variety of locations.
  • Utilize advanced driving skills under blue light or normal conditions when responding or conveying patients as required.
  • Promote and uphold the company's vision and values, focusing on delivering the highest quality patient care and improving the working lives of all staff.

Person Specification:

  • Essential:
    • Experience in dealing with a range of age and social groups
    • Experience of working with the general public
    • Blue Light Driving (CERAD or recognised equivalent)
    • FREC 4 or recognised ECA qualification
  • Desirable:
    • Clean Driving licence
