Job Title: Technical Skills Coach - Engineering

Windsor Forest Colleges Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Skills Coach - Engineering to join their team at Slough & Langley College.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of apprentices in the Engineering Levels 3-6 Apprenticeship Programmes. They will provide effective skills coaching and mentoring to enhance the apprentice and employer experience, ensuring successful achievement towards the end-point assessment.

Main Duties:
  • Conducting visits and formative assessments in the workplace or remotely to support students' progress towards a successful gateway.
  • Providing teaching, coaching, mentoring, and assessment to apprentices.
  • Teaching the theory elements of the standard in a classroom environment and providing ongoing support to apprentices and their employers.
Requirements:
  • A Level 4 or higher Teaching Qualification or the willingness to work towards this whilst on the job.
  • An Appropriate Engineering HNC/HND/Degree and/or vocational qualification or equivalent.
  • Ideal candidate will be IEng registered.
  • A1 Assessors Award is a strong advantage, but not a requirement.
