Venn Group is partnering with a leading housing association to find a Director of Sustainable Assets who can make a meaningful impact.

About the Role

You will be responsible for driving forward the organisation's environmental and sustainability strategy, leading on the implementation, periodic review, and embedding of change across the organisation. This includes ensuring key environmental targets are met, including achieving net-zero carbon by 2050.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive decarbonisation programme, incorporating grant-funded initiatives like the Warm Homes Social Housing Fund
  • Manage the grant application process, procurement, contract delivery, and budgets for a £10 million, 3-year programme of decarbonization works across the organisation's housing stock.
  • Analyse data from various sources to inform decision-making and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to embed sustainability practices throughout the organisation.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of environmental and carbon legislation, with a broad understanding of the climate change agenda.
  • Proven experience in delivering decarbonization and energy efficiency projects, preferably in the housing or social housing sectors.
  • Excellent data skills, with the ability to collect, analyse, and present data to stakeholders and team members.
  • A genuine passion for sustainability and delivering high-quality services.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to make a real difference. The successful candidate can expect a salary of around £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
