Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel

Global Radio Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide senior-level property legal support to our entire business.

About the Role

You will be the go-to legal expert for all property matters in connection with our Outdoor advertising business in the UK & Ireland and its commercial properties. Your expertise will be invaluable in advising on, drafting and negotiating property agreements (leases and licences), and property litigation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior-level property legal support to the entire Global business
  • Advise on contracts and legal issues relating to outdoor advertising partnerships, outdoor operations, and Global's commercial property portfolio
  • Draft and negotiate property agreements, commercial partnership agreements, supplier agreements, and procurement contracts
  • Lead for Legal on strategic real estate projects
  • Advise on disputes and litigation relating to the Outdoor business and property matters
  • Ensure business activities are conducted in conformity with all applicable laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures
  • Supervise and support the development of the Legal team's trainees and paralegals
  • Prepare templates, processes and policies for Outdoor and property legal matters and deliver training to the business
  • Manage external legal spend for your matters in line with budget
  • Attend Outdoor and property steering groups and committees and work closely with the Outdoor senior leadership team
Requirements

We are looking for a qualified legal practitioner admitted to practice law in England and Wales with a current practising certificate or a qualified foreign lawyer who can be admitted to practice in England and Wales. You should have at least 5+ PQE experience in commercial property law and a good academic qualification in England and Wales or other common law jurisdiction.

You should be able to set and maintain pace on projects, respond quickly to legal queries, handle multiple simultaneous tasks and meet tight deadlines. Experience of delivering training to the business and developing other legal knowledge tools is also essential.

We are looking for someone who is flexible and adaptable, with a strong understanding of the current property marketplace and the ability to identify and remedy complex legal issues with limited assistance from external legal counsel.
