Job Description for Mechanical Technical Support

As a Mechanical Technical Support Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in delivering expertise in general plant, system, equipment reliability, configuration management, or other specialized subject matter needed to satisfy the multi-faceted needs of our organization.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop pragmatic fit-for-purpose engineering solutions that meet the objectives of the organization in a cost-effective manner.
  • Support maintenance activities by implementing and maintaining the technical basis of maintenance (TBoM) process, and assist with planning for complex maintenance activities based on insight and equipment experience.
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks are clearly briefed, understood, and performed safely and on schedule to ensure safe operation of the facility.
  • Comply with legislative, regulatory, and company procedures and standards, such as safety, quality, risk, and security, appropriate to the role.
  • Assist in the production of any PMPs required within Compliance Engineering, including presenting at committee.
  • Support the Mechanical Team Leader in installation, modifications, and commissioning of installed equipment, including identifying and assisting in delivery of plant and process improvements.
  • Attend forums as appropriate to keep abreast of best practice around other facilities, and share and implement any learning around their facility.
Ideal Candidate
  • Degree-qualified (Mechanical) or HND in an equivalent discipline.
  • Required to become PMP Manager.
  • Requirement to become appointed as Sub Contractor Supervisor.
  • Ability to obtain DV level security clearance, including identity, employment, financial, criminal record checks, interview, and 10 years of UK residency.
