We seek an Anglican priest to serve in our rural and urban parishes in East Lancashire, near the Yorkshire border.
Key Responsibilities- Relate to both rural and urban ways of life within the parishes
- Teach the good news of Jesus in a way that is accessible, grounded, challenging, and relevant to all age groups
- Lead collaboratively with effective communication and organisational skills
- Demonstrate a hands-on, proactive, visible, community-focused approach to mission and ministry
- Model the fruits of the Holy Spirit in your own life and inspire others to do the same
- Identify and release the potential in the congregations, encouraging the gifts and ministries of all
- Be genuine, friendly, approachable, resilient, grounded, and with a good sense of humour
Our benefice consists of two adjacent parishes with their own PCCs that regularly come together. We have refocused our vision and achieved much in the past 12 months, creating an increased sense of energy in both congregations.
About the LocationBarrowford is situated near Junction 13 of the M65, providing an excellent link to the motorway network with easy access to hospitals, shops, theatres, and airports. Pendle is a scenic and attractive part of East Lancashire, well placed for people to enjoy a range of lifestyles.
The Fylde Coast, The Yorkshire Dales, The Lake District, and Bronte Country are all easily accessible.
