- Provide one-to-one or group support for students with additional learning needs
- Assist with personal care tasks, including toileting and feeding
- Administer tube feeding following care plans and guidance
- Support students with mobility and transfers using manual handling techniques, ensuring safety and dignity at all times
- Implement personalised learning strategies to promote independence and confidence
- Assist teaching staff with classroom activities, adapting learning materials when necessary
- Monitor and report student progress, behaviour, and wellbeing
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience in providing personal care and tube feeding
- Manual handling training and the ability to safely assist with student mobility
- A caring and patient attitude, with a passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
About the Role: Working within a lovely and friendly secondary school, you will become a valued member of staff for the academic year. The school has a large onsite car park and a friendly and supportive support team.
