Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Needs Support Specialist to join our team in providing essential support to students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or group support for students with additional learning needs
  • Assist with personal care tasks, including toileting and feeding
  • Administer tube feeding following care plans and guidance
  • Support students with mobility and transfers using manual handling techniques, ensuring safety and dignity at all times
  • Implement personalised learning strategies to promote independence and confidence
  • Assist teaching staff with classroom activities, adapting learning materials when necessary
  • Monitor and report student progress, behaviour, and wellbeing

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in providing personal care and tube feeding
  • Manual handling training and the ability to safely assist with student mobility
  • A caring and patient attitude, with a passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations

About the Role: Working within a lovely and friendly secondary school, you will become a valued member of staff for the academic year. The school has a large onsite car park and a friendly and supportive support team.
