Job Responsibilities
- Conducting general nursing duties such as:
- Wound care
- Immunizations including childhood and travel vaccinations
- Health screening
- QOF
- ECG recordings
- Assisting with minor surgery and coil fittings
- Depo injections and pill checks
- Requesting pathology test, for example urine culture, swab
- Testing urine samples
- Support the Nurse Manager, maintain stock of waiting room leaflets, ordering.
- Attend practice meetings when required.
- An opportunity to work out of hours, extended access etc.
Person Specification
- Registered Nurse qualification with a valid nursing license NMC
- Maintain own professional and personal development in accordance with the NMC Code (2008), standards and professional guidelines.
- Experience in chronic disease management desirable diabetes, respiratory
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Understanding of practice contracts and SNOMED coding
- Strong IT skills and knowledge of clinical systems such as: EMIS Web, Docman, AccuRx and ICE.

- Previous experience working within a nursing team
