Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator Welder to join our team at Lloyds British – A Division of Speedy Asset Services in Wednesbury, West Midlands. As a Fabricator Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing heavy duty lifting and handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake all types of fabrication and welding of parts on new and existing equipment to ensure a reliable, safe, and defect-free product.
  • Operate equipment related to your trade or training.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve workshop requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and on-time completion of workshop documentation, quality plans, and inspection records.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping and ensure your area is visitor-ready at all times.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.

Requirements:

  • Time served fabricator welder in MIG discipline.
  • Ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering and lifting and handling equipment.
  • Observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
