Job Title: Litigation Paralegal

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Litigation Paralegal to join our team at Barrister Richard & Partners. The ideal candidate will have a passion for litigation, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the barrister with case preparation for hearings, trials, and appeals, ensuring all necessary documents are up-to-date and filed correctly.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support the barrister's cases.
  • Draft high-quality legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence, with attention to detail and precision.
  • Organize and manage electronic case files, maintaining accurate records and ensuring seamless communication with solicitors, courts, clients, and other parties involved.
  • Liaise with solicitors, courts, clients, and other parties involved in cases, providing exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Be the primary point of contact for clients and new business, handling inquiries and providing timely responses.
  • Attend court hearings and take detailed notes as required, ensuring accurate records and supporting the barrister's cases.
  • Manage deadlines and coordinate the barrister's calendar and commitments, ensuring seamless workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in litigation, with a strong understanding of legal research databases and litigation processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, prioritizing tasks and ensuring timely completion.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to analyze complex information and provide effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
  • Ability to work independently, with a strong sense of initiative and self-motivation.
