Assistant Headteacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Headteacher to join our team as a Strategic Leader in Pastoral Care. This is a senior leadership role that requires a strong commitment to student wellbeing and a proven track record of leading and managing teams to achieve outstanding results.

• Strategically lead attendance, behaviour, and personal development initiatives to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Develop and implement effective safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students.
• Line manage the Director of Behaviour and Safeguarding Officer to ensure effective leadership and management of pastoral teams.
• Manage the Fair Access Process (FAP) and represent the school in admission appeals meetings.
• Lead the transition process for Y6 to Y7 and oversee assemblies to promote student engagement and motivation.
• Strategically lead parent communication to ensure effective and impactful engagement with parents and carers.

• Proven experience in a senior leadership role with a focus on pastoral care and student wellbeing.
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Ability to develop and implement effective policies and procedures to ensure student safety and wellbeing.
• Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures and the ability to lead and manage safeguarding teams.

• Competitive salary range of £65,000 - £72,144 per annum.
