Mechanical Drafter

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Draughtsman to join our team at Employment Solutions Ltd. This exciting opportunity involves working with a leading UK manufacturer of factory cranes, gantry cranes, and hoists.

The company is a global leader with a diverse client portfolio across various industries, including Aerospace, Automotive, Construction, Green Energy, Ship & Boat, Plastics, and Metals.

As a Mechanical Draughtsman, you will be responsible for interpreting sales documentation, creating general arrangement drawings, and producing detailed manufacturing drawings for cranes and related equipment.

This role offers a varied and challenging position working across departments, ensuring smooth project delivery from design to manufacturing.

You will report to the Principal Mechanical Engineer and have the opportunity to work on new and exciting technical drawing projects.

This position is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in mechanical or design engineering, looking to develop their technical drawing skills further.

Key responsibilities include:

• Interpreting sales specifications to create General Arrangement drawings for cranes and hoists.
• Producing detailed manufacturing drawings and releasing them for crane and hoist manufacturing.
• Liaising effectively with the sales, manufacturing teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure technical support and smooth order processing.
