Becoming a Court Usher with Brook Street means being part of an essential team that ensures justice operates efficiently across England and Wales.
We are looking for a highly organised, motivated individual to work in Welshpool. As a Court Usher, you will play a vital role in supporting the judiciary, colleagues, and members of the public throughout the court process.
Your duties will include:
- Delivering files and bundles to the judiciary and clerks, ensuring they have all necessary papers;
- Providing support outside of court hearing times;
- Navigating various court settings, including video link, on-site, and remote hearings;
- Preparing rooms for hearings, tribunals, trials, meetings, and clearing the court/hearing room after each event;
- Coordinating and supporting court hearings;
- Assisting the general public during hearings;
- Completing administrative tasks, such as filing, printing, data entry, typing, posting, and general office duties.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Excellent customer service skills and confidence when interacting with the public;
- Strong administrative abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Teams;
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
