Job Title: Technical Support Engineer

At Dahua UK & Ireland, we're seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our team. This role plays a pivotal part in delivering high-quality products, solutions, and services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • We're looking for an individual with strong technical support skills to advise on video surveillance equipment, respond to customers' technical problems, and collaborate with R&D on troubleshooting.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in testing and troubleshooting, diagnosing faults, and undertaking repair of video surveillance equipment.
  • In this role, you'll provide technical and product suggestions by consolidating demand, gathering product information and feedback from the UK market, and reporting back to China HQ for product improvement.
  • You'll also be responsible for product pre-sales promotion, introducing new product features to Channel Customers and helping them select products.
  • Additionally, you'll assist with brand promotion, cooperating with the Dahua Marketing Team to develop the company's business.

Key Attributes:

  • Prior experience in a technical support role is essential.
  • You should possess good customer service skills and communication skills, as well as a positive attitude and ability to handle pressures.
  • The successful candidate will be able to learn new technologies fast and have confidence in public speeches or/and onsite/online lectures.
  • Initiative, honesty, and integrity are also key attributes required for this position.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor degree in Engineering or a similar relevant field is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have knowledge of CCTV, alarm, access control, video conference, VMS, cloud storage, video wall, video/audio matrix, network, and AIoT Products.
  • Project experience in smart city, intelligent transportation, retail, smart building, and telecommunication is highly desirable.
  • Proven technical support experience in the security or related industry is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Chinese Mandarin and English is required, as well as strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • A full, clean UK driving license is also essential.

Salary: The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
