About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established engineering company operating in the rail sector.

The successful candidate will have experience working on rail vehicles, preferably with knowledge of braking systems and bogie overhauls.

Responsibilities include examination and subsequent repairs to MK1 and MK3 rail carriages, as well as supporting running maintenance and heavy maintenance and overhauls of company managed stock on all electrical and mechanical systems.

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Fitter who can work to railway safety systems and understand and work to Maintenance Plans (VMOI).

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of £24-£26 per hour
  • Possible extension of contract
  • 4 day week option available

About You:

  • Mechanical Fitter experience working on rail vehicles
  • Experience on braking systems and bogie overhaul preferred
