Award-Winning Consultancy Seeks Technical Director

Aldwych Consulting, a leading specialist Temporary Works Design Consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled Technical Director to join their experienced team in Esher, Surrey.

The consultancy has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality design solutions and is looking for a technical expert to lead their design team and drive project success.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on structural engineer with significant experience in a range of building structures work and leadership roles. MICE or MIStructE qualification is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects, managing design teams, and providing technical expertise to clients.

The role will involve working on a variety of challenging projects, including large building design projects, demolition works, geotechnical works, and permanent works. The successful candidate will be expected to provide high-quality design solutions, lead from the front, and work in a fast-paced environment.

The company offers a competitive salary, 25 days holiday, pension, healthcare, bonus scheme, socials, and one day work from home allowed if so wished.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design teams and manage projects from conception to completion
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients and design teams
  • Develop and implement high-quality design solutions
  • Manage and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of the consultancy's technical strategy and direction

Requirements:

  • Highly skilled structural engineer with significant experience in a range of building structures work
  • Leadership experience and ability to manage design teams
  • MICE or MIStructE qualification highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead from the front
