Job Title: Senior Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technician to join our team at Carbon60, a leader in waste, water, and energy management. As a Senior Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our flagship plant in Southwark, London.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct scheduled physical inspections to ensure compliance with company Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) procedures.
  • Perform operational Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) checks and report findings to the shift supervisor and maintenance supervisor.
  • Communicate clear instructions and information to MBT operatives to support operations and ensure high plant availability and biological process performance.
  • Record all defects and findings accordingly and assist with KPI data entry.
  • Provide line management with specialist knowledge and hands-on expertise in rectifying and preventing problems such as equipment failure, material blockages, and biological process inefficiencies.
  • Prepare facilities for daily operation and carry out necessary pre-start equipment checks in conjunction with the shift supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Willingness to learn waste separation equipment is essential.
  • Higher education or equivalent is desirable.
  • A strong communicator with leadership skills/experience.
  • Technically minded with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience of leading people is preferred.
