Job Description

This part-time, freelance German Instructor position provides a flexible schedule and casual dress code in a diverse environment. As an instructor, you will utilize the Berlitz Method of instruction to create an engaging atmosphere where students feel comfortable experimenting with the language and motivated to achieve their goals.

You will have access to our comprehensive training course, which will equip you with the necessary skills to deliver successful instruction. Our platforms and technology will enable you to effectively communicate with students and track their progress.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare for lessons by reviewing provided materials and customizing content based on student needs.
  • Create a risk-free environment where students can make mistakes and experiment with the language.
  • Document student progress after each lesson.
  • We require a commitment of 15-20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate your availability.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Teaching experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Expert-level German and intermediate-level English proficiency.
  • Exceptional communication skills are essential.
Technical Specifications:
  • A minimum of 5 Mbps download speed and 2 Mbps upload speed.
  • A stable wired internet connection (Wi-Fi is not sufficient).
  • A PC or laptop running Windows 10 or higher, or macOS 11 or higher.
  • A USB headset and camera.
  • In areas prone to load shedding, a backup system is required to support devices.
  • A minimum of 2 GHz processing speed and 4096 MB RAM (4GB) or above.
