Job Overview:

The Senior Production Team Lead will be responsible for leading the Main Assembly production of our Remotely Operated Vehicles within our brand-new Trilogy Facility in Fareham. This role will involve providing direction, instruction, and guidance to multiple manufacturing teams to ensure operations are conducted safely, within budgets, and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategy for the team to meet set goals and targets.
  • Provide training and monitor team members' needs.
  • Communicate clear instructions to team members.
  • Listen to team members' feedback and drive Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Manage the flow of daily operations.
  • Report on team progress and update the company.
  • Distribute reports to appropriate personnel.

General Responsibilities:

  • Drive the company's 6S policy and achieve high standards in own area, instructing the team on the proper use of safety equipment and knowledge of emergency procedures.
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained and improved, and all operations activities comply with regulations throughout the process.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of Electrical subassemblies and finished components to internal and external customer requirements.
  • Use personal judgement and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in day-to-day activities and procedures.
  • Support and mentor team members, ensuring individual skills and flexibility are continually being developed.
  • Suggest and organise team building activities.
  • Encourage creativity and innovation within a controlled and safe process.
  • Recognise high performance and reward accomplishments within the team.
  • Maintain personal ability in, and appropriate use of, all relevant IT and other systems required to adequately perform the role.
  • Act ethically, with integrity, and in the best interest of the business at all times.
  • Maintain a professional and supportive relationship with team members and other departments to deliver business and delivery objectives or deadlines.
  • Carry out any other duties as detailed by your Supervisor or Manager from time to time.
  • Keep good time management to minimise wasted time and maximise productivity and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Educated to HNC level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
  • Prototype wiring experience.
  • Leadership and coaching experience.
  • Supervisory level HV qualifications.
  • PCB design experience.
