Are you passionate about supporting young people with complex needs? We have an exciting opportunity for a Youth Development Mentor to join our team in Hertfordshire.

As a Youth Development Mentor, you will be working with three young individuals aged 11-17, providing guidance and assistance to help them navigate their challenges effectively. You will wear many hats, including mentor, teacher, coach, parental figure, therapist, counsellor, and family liaison.

The core of this role is to provide support for a young person, fostering their development into adulthood with routine, boundaries, and consistency, all delivered in a nurturing, non-judgemental manner. On any given day, you might engage in activities like horse riding, painting, driving, shopping, or virtual schooling with your assigned young person.

You will be part of a team of eight, working on a shift/rota basis. Flexibility is key, and with teamwork, we ensure everyone's needs are accommodated.

Support Worker Requirements:

  • Passion and dedication to youth development are paramount.
  • Essential requirements include previous experience with children/teenagers,
  • A manual UK driving license - Ability to travel to other Sites/Residences is required. A DVLA check will be conducted upon appointment.
  • Flexibility to work on day/night rotas including sleeping in
