We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our Building Management Systems (BMS) projects in the South of England. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering projects from sales to operations handovers, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and vendors to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Undertake sales handovers to interpret and understand project scope, ensuring accurate project planning and execution.
- Oversee the health, safety, and environmental management of all projects within your portfolio, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Provide direction, control, and implementation of projects, ensuring timely completion and within-budget.
- Manage subcontractors and issue purchase orders for project works, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.
- Identify opportunities for growth within the business and manage resources to achieve project goals.
- Order materials for projects in a timely manner, ensuring project timelines are met.
- Monitor, review, and report on project progress, providing regular updates to project leadership.
- Undertake risk reviews to identify and mitigate potential project risks.
- Maintain relevant professional certifications and licenses, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the team, ensuring knowledge transfer and skills development.
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience in the construction industry, with experience in BMS and control systems, or direct experience with BMS project operations of equal or greater tenure.
- Ability to manage and influence both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.
- Experience working on large projects, with a track record for delivery. Typical projects will be £80k-£300k in value.
- Comfortable working as part of a team, managing remote resources.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Experience working within existing customer sites.
- High-level BMS knowledge with a key understanding of engineering principles.
