Senior Finance Manager - Hybrid Role

Sharpsmart UK is expanding its Finance team and seeks a seasoned Senior Finance Manager to join the team in a hybrid role, splitting time between our Spennymoor office and home office. Reporting directly to the Finance Controller, this exciting new position will focus on overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, and driving continuous improvements and ad-hoc finance projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the billing, income, and revenue department to ensure seamless operations
  • Liaise with various stakeholders internally and externally to foster strong relationships
  • Provide regular reporting and analytical overviews to senior management and leadership on department performance and customer performance
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to drive efficiency and effectiveness
  • Identify opportunities to enhance income, billing, and revenue strategies
  • Analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Oversee and guide a team of professionals to achieve team goals
  • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts to ensure financial stability
  • Collaborate with international Finance managers to share best practices
  • Participate in ongoing UK finance strategic planning to drive business growth

Requirements:

  • ACA or degree qualified in a relevant finance-focused subject, with a minimum of 3 years of practical work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail to drive informed decision-making
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Packages, including Excel and other finance systems
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities to drive team success
