Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team at International Automotive Components Group Limited. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our Laboratory Manager and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Laboratory Manager in maintaining the laboratory facility and equipment, ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks are followed.
- Perform laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations, including preparing specimens and samples, disposing of chemicals and waste products safely, and constructing, maintaining, and operating standard laboratory equipment.
- Analyze data using statistical techniques to evaluate product and generate informative reports, and use problem-solving techniques to assist in internal and external quality concerns.
- Support at customer sites when required, and assist in the control and maintenance of laboratory records in line with requirements.
- Ability to work unsupervised using your own initiative to achieve objectives, and work as part of a team.
- Ability to learn specific, practical techniques and apply this knowledge, and use technical equipment accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to maintain and calibrate technical equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, and be PC literate, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience of working in the automotive sector is desirable, as well as previous experience of working in a laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of plastic injection moulding, slush moulding, paint, and assembly high-volume processes is desirable, as well as working knowledge of problem-solving techniques and statistical techniques.
