About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Treatment Planning Radiographer/Dosimetrist to join our team at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. As a key member of our Treatment Planning group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in all aspects of the Treatment Planning section, including production of complex treatment plans and VMAT planning.
  • Contribute to CT simulation, including cannulation and contrast.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on radiation therapy techniques and treatment planning.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in radiation therapy and treatment planning.
Requirements
  • BSc (Therapeutic Radiography), DCR (T) or equivalent and HCPC registration as a therapeutic radiographer.
  • Post-qualification experience with treatment planning experience.
  • Knowledge of conformal and IMRT treatment planning and patient immobilisation.
  • Understanding of the risks arising from equipment failure and treatment planning areas.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (IRR and IR(ME)R) Act as an Operator under the terms of IR(ME)R.
