Social Worker - Parenting Assessment Centre

Your Role

As a Social Worker at this centre, you will be responsible for assessing the parenting abilities of families involved with children's services. Your role will involve collaborating with families to identify strengths and areas for improvement, providing a secure environment for assessments.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough parenting evaluations using evidence-based techniques.
  • Collaborate effectively with families, children, and professionals involved in the assessment process.
  • Generate detailed and comprehensive reports for court proceedings and relevant stakeholders.
  • Implement support plans designed to enhance parenting skills and promote positive family dynamics.
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the service through feedback and suggestions.
Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking a candidate who possesses:

  • A degree in social work and is qualified as a Social Worker.
  • At least 2 years of experience in children's social work, including conducting parenting assessments.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to connect with families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to produce clear and concise written reports.
  • A deep commitment to safeguarding children and promoting social justice principles.
  • A collaborative team player with an adaptable and flexible approach to work.
