Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team at OCU Group, a leading utility engineering contractor in the UK.

About the Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading projects in the water and wastewater sector, working closely with project managers, construction managers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development
    • Preparing tenders for clients and commercial bids to secure new business opportunities.
    • Developing and presenting project proposals to clients and stakeholders.
  • Project Management
    • Acting as the main point of contact for clients, site managers, and project stakeholders.
    • Ensuring construction projects meet agreed technical standards and specifications.
    • Liaising with technical and financial staff, sub-contractors, legal teams, and client representatives.
    • Overseeing final accounts and project close-out.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Working closely with project teams, stakeholders, and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.
    • Communicating project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or HND in Construction or Project Management, or equivalent work experience.
  • Existing experience of managing water and wastewater projects.
  • An understanding of the construction, utilities, and water industry.
  • An understanding of legal documentation and business management principles.
  • Business management skills and knowledge of water industry standards, regulations, and best practices in the UK.
  • A driving license is essential for this role.
