Endoscopy Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at DMC Healthcare, a leading independent provider of primary care and specialist services. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented nurse to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
**Job Summary**
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the consultant in the day-to-day operation of Endoscopy clinics, organising the setup of each clinic, managing patient records, and supporting patients throughout their care journey. They will also participate in teaching and training, run endoscopy lists without supervision, and supervise/mentor junior staff.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare the endoscopy suite for procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and that waste is kept to a minimum.
- Ensure that patient records are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in teaching and training within your sphere of knowledge and skill.
- Run endoscopy lists without supervision and supervise/mentor junior staff.
**Compliance**
- Comply with DMC Healthcare policies and procedures, including those related to Health and Safety, COSHH, Incident Reporting, and Data Protection.
- Report all accidents and untoward incidents to senior staff and complete electronic reporting systems.
- Ensure that all elements contained within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct are adhered to and maintain registration requirements.
- Embed Clinical Governance and risk management into daily practice.
- Provide and receive patient information in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
**Patient Care**
- D deliver patient care in accordance with recognised standards of research-based clinical practice.
- Protect the rights, dignity, and confidentiality of patients at all times.
- Apply a holistic patient-centred care approach, identifying and addressing specialist clinical needs while patients are in the Endoscopy Department.
**General**
- Organise your own time and delegate tasks appropriately.
- Maintain effective channels of communication at all times.
- Carry out any other duties that reasonably fall within the general nature and level of responsibility.
**Requirements**
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A qualification in nursing (e.g., Registered Nurse)
- NMC Registration
- Current experience working in Endoscopy
- Minimum one year of experience as an Endoscopy Registered Nurse
- Transferable skills or experience working in a similar environment
**Desirable Qualifications**
- Previous experience working in the private healthcare sector
**Salary and Benefits**
We offer a competitive salary range of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as pension scheme, life insurance, and professional development opportunities.
