Procurement Role in FMCG Organisation

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is partnering with a leading FMCG organisation based in North Bristol to find a skilled Procurement professional to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate looking to progress their career in procurement and take on new challenges.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Procurement to manage direct spend, including raw ingredients and packaging materials. Key responsibilities will include sourcing new suppliers, negotiating prices, awarding contracts, and managing suppliers. The role offers autonomy to achieve cost-saving targets and requires strong negotiation and influencing skills.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in direct buying, preferably in FMCG or Manufacturing
  • Experience in sourcing and working with international suppliers
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Supplier contract management
  • Confident communication skills for liaising with the technical team and suppliers
  • Ability to operate autonomously
What We Offer

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited offers a competitive salary of up to £45,000 p.a. and a range of benefits, including flexible working hours, 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, and a holiday purchase scheme. The role is based in North Bristol, with a 3-day on-site and 2-day remote work arrangement.
